Presenting to you another delight from Uganda and the region of Zukuka Bora. ‘Sipi’ sits atop Mount Elgon, at 2100 meters above sea level, giving the SL14 and SL28 coffee trees an ideal microclimate and perfect growing conditions, to ripen slowly and develop the complexity we find in our cup. The honey processing of the cherries brings a sticky mouthfeel to the coffee, and a lovely rich sweetness that reminds us of an almond praline. Combined with a bright citrus note of mandarin, and a round, caramel finish, this coffee goes down like a sweet treat. A versatile coffee that is perfect as an espresso, and is even sweeter with milk. We have also been loving it as a cold brew, in anticipation for the warmer days coming. A fun yet approachable coffee that will be a staple for us this season. Enjoy!
