Sticky Date, Dried Berries, Werther's Original Caramel.
A perfectly balanced anaerobic coffee. Sweet and slightly boozy, with plenty of fruitiness.
This is the first Ugandan coffee we have sourced and it is particualarly special for a few reasons. We have partnered with our good mates at Commonfolk in Mornington to bring you this coffee, creating a deep connection with Zukuka Bora; a social enterprise which is committed to empowering farming communities and producing life changing coffee. This coffee is ticking all of our boxes, with loads of fruit, a rich texture, and a sticky sweetness that we love! Processed as an anaerobic natural, which means the whole coffee cherry is fermented in airtight tanks, allowing the fruit to break down around the bean and imparting a higher intensity of the coffees natural flavours and characteristics. After 5 days of fermenting, the cherries are initially sun dried and then shade dried for a total of three weeks. We have roasted this coffee slightly slower than our fast filter profiles, to highlight the boozy body, and sweetness, while retaining all the berry forward fruit characters in the cup. This coffee is super versatile, we are brewing it as filter and espresso and especially loving it in our milk based drinks. Enjoy!
