Colombia Luis Anibal Villa Betulia Washed Chilli Bourbon

This is our first time representing the incredible coffee producer, Luis Anibal. Luis specialises in cultivating rare varietals of coffee, this is a ‘Bourbon Aji’ or ‘Chilli Bourbon’ which is particularly special. This coffee is a testimony to how much we love Colombia and its coffee growing capabilities. The harvesting and processing of this Bourbon Aji is extremely high quality, meeting strict agriculture conditions, ripeness criteria, and sorting methods. What we love about this coffee is that it is a washed process, which allows the cup profile to express every nuance of the varietal and terroir.

With a super clean and crisp cup, we are finding so much complexity and layers of flavour, beginning as fruity and jammy, with undertones of dark fruits and a silky body as it cools. We are working with Cofinet to source this coffee, who have worked with Luis over the years to assist in developing skills and expertise in processing methods, to get the best out of exotic coffees like this Bourbon Aji.
